IPPP fellow discusses the new Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine with Fox News

Andrew Peterson discusses with Fox News the logistical hurdles to distributing the vaccine developed by Pfizer. The vaccine requires sub-zero cooling to remain effective. Recent survey studies also suggest Americans might be hesitant to take a coronavirus vaccine, even if it is proven to be safe and effective.

Even if distribution is smooth, Americans may still be reluctant to get vaccinated. Just last month, the Kaiser Family Foundation reported that, of 777 Black Americans surveyed, nearly half said they wouldn't get a Covid-19 vaccine. These findings are consistent with a STAT news poll, showing only 58% of Americans would get vaccinated as soon as it's available.
